Haw River Clean-Up-A-Thon Service Project

3/11/2018

We will be participating in the Yearly Clean up Haw River Service Project on Saturday March 17th 1:00-3:00 PM

We really need a strong turnout of scouts and family members to help us clean up the trash in our assigned area of Great Bend Park at Glencoe. We have been advised its best to park at Glencoe Mill 2320 River Road Burlington, NC 27217 - park just past the mill in the parking lot.

Plenty of trash bags will be provided and some gloves. It may be best to bring gloves if you have them, a water bottle and sun protection. Dress accordingly for the weather and possibly muddy areas near the river bank. They will pick up our full trash bags from the site later, we do not need to haul trash off.

Participants will need to fill out a waiver- one per family prior to the event or before starting that day.
This is a great opportunity to help out our community and the environment as well as our philosophy of "Leave no trace".

Any questions just ask Julie

Please register here - we are hoping to also have some older boy scouts help us out that day too but many hands make lighter and faster work!
