We created this section to hopefully answer some of the frequently asked questions about Pack 438 and about joining Cub Scouts.
Can I learn more about Pack 438?Pack 438 was originally chartered in the early 1970s at Cameron Park Elementary School on St. Mary's Rd in Hillsborough. Our Pack has a long history of excellence and several thousand K-5th graders have benefitted from becoming Cub Scouts through our program. We have been fortunate to have a wonderful home at Hillsborough United Methodist Church for nearly 20 years. Pack 438 proudly serves the youth of Orange, Alamance and Durham Counties and welcomes K-5th graders of all genders, races, socioeconomic backgrounds or sexual orientations.

How do I become a Scout?Becoming a scout is as easy as attending one of our events or meetings, completing an application for membership and paying the annual charter fee. Prospective scouts are welcome to visit events 2 times prior to joining to gauge if Cub Scouts and Pack 438 are a good fit. Once you have joined Pack 438, you are a member in good standing as long as the annual dues are paid. There is no need to submit an application each year.
