Creatures of the Night
Go batty over creatures of the night! Explore skills and senses of nocturnal animals in this fun and exciting program. We will shed some light on the mystery of what’s really going "bump in the night". Through presentations and activities, participants will develop a greater understanding of our nighttime neighbors, their roles in our environment and how we can help them. Students will have a blast building bat boxes and a hoot dissecting owl pellets. Safari Snooze This Zoo snooze is a unique opportunity for small groups with a maximum of 20 people. Learn about our giant pachyderms, striped equines and ungulates, as we discover the importance of the African Savanna. Checking out an elephant hide and a rhino horn are just a couple of the ways we will get to know more about these animals and their role in this special ecosystem. This Zoo snooze also provides hands-on activities to learn about African culture. You will have the opportunity to meet with a zookeeper, visit the inside of one of the barns, and see the "residents" up close.
